Perfect Summer Citrus Chicken

Savor the warm weather and bright flavors of the season with this perfect summer citrus chicken recipe. The dish is a zesty and refreshing blend of citrus, herbs and spices, combined with juicy and tender chicken breasts.

First, preheat your grill to high heat. While it's heating up, combine a cup of vinegar with orange, lemon, grounded peppercorn, honey, sugar, chopped parsley, iodized salt and crushed red pepper. Mix everything together thoroughly, and then pour the marinade into a zip-top bag along with chicken breasts. Pop the bag into the fridge and let the chicken marinate for 20 minutes.

When you're ready to cook, place the marinated chicken on the grill and cook each side for 5 to 8 minutes, flipping it once, until the internal temperature reaches 165° Fahrenheit. This ensures that the chicken is fully cooked and retains its juiciness and tenderness.

The flavors of this dish are simply spectacular. The combination of citrus, vinegar and spices provides a tangy and zesty taste, with a hint of sweetness from the honey and sugar. The chopped parsley adds a fresh and herbal note that balances out the flavors, and the whole peppercorns add a mild and pleasant spiciness.

The perfect summer citrus chicken is perfect for any summer gathering, whether it's a backyard barbecue or a family picnic. The dish is easy to make, and the marinade can be prepared ahead of time, making it convenient for busy days. You can also serve the chicken with your favorite sides, such as roasted vegetables, a fresh salad or grilled corn.
