Baked Apples

Baked Apples is an easy fall recipe that takes less than an hour to whip up, making them perfect for a last second tailgate or party. Heck, you don’t even need a gathering, it’s also perfect if you have a late-night sweet tooth! No matter why you’re making this baked apples recipe, you’ll need 4 apples, ¼ cup of brown sugar, 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, ¼ cup of chopped pecans, ¼ cup of chopped raisins, 4 tablespoons of butter and ¾ cup of boiling water. To begin, preheat your oven to 375°F. As your oven heats up, core the apples ½ inch from bottom and ¾ inches wide. Next, combine the mixture of brown sugar, cinnamon, pecans and raisins into the core of the apples. This is done to intensify sweetness of the recipe.

Next, place the apples in a baking dish and top each of the apples with butter. Afterwards, add ¾ cup of boiling water to the pan and bake the dish of apples for 30-40 minutes.

Remember to baste the apples with the liquid from the bottom of the baking dish for more added flavor. When that’s done, they’re ready to be enjoyed. Baked Apples are a great way to enjoy apples during the fall season and can be served as a dessert or a mid-day snack.
